Java J2EE Developer (in Oracle App Server)
Tellenger is seeking a Java J2EE expert for our Fairfax, VA location. NO security clearance is required, but MUST BE a U.S. Citizen. Option to work as employee or 1099.

Position Description
The candidate will work at the direction of the client to perform the following type of activities:
- Develop, maintain, and support custom software application solutions using JAVA/J2EE, HTML, and JavaScript.
- In Oracle 9i running in a RAC environment (Version 9i and above)
- Test and implement proposed solutions in an Oracle Portal 10g environment
- Support system development initiatives throughout all lifecycle stages, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, and implementation
Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Ability
- Core Consulting Skills, including:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Experience working directly with customers, including producing technical documentation and conducting technical presentations
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and provide technical team mentorship
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience, including:
- Full project life cycle experience (requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, etc.)
- Consulting with clients to define needs or problems
- Active involvement in the design, development, and implementation of software systems
- Experience with source control and configuration management
- Desired experience with Oracle Portal, including:
- Experience architecting and implementing successful Oracle Portal (R2 with 9IAS) and J2EE-compliant web solutions
- Proficiency (2+ years) in PL/SQL, which is used predominantly throughout the Portal application
- Proficiency (2+ years) in developing in Java/J2EE, JSP, HTML, and Java Script
- Unix/Linux familiarity (2+ years) required (shell scripting)
- Familiarity with 3-tiered architecture environments
- Experience implementing OID, single-sign on, and integration with LDAP / Directory Services
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and solve problems of a difficult process or technical nature with strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills
- Other relevant experience, including:
- Experience working with Red Hat Linux operating systems (RHEL 4.0)
- Experience implementing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions and/or using digital signatures
