Java/J2EE Developer

Tellenger, Inc., is a business consulting firm that designs and develops custom web-based software apps. We do everything from complex, enterprise-level builds to traditional websites and even mobile technology. Our strength is connecting an organization’s business objectives with the right technology solution doing both the strategy and development. Founded in July 2007, we have multiple long-term government contracts as well as many private sector clients making for interesting and diverse work. Having doubled the annualized revenue for 2007 in 2008, we will double revenue again in 2009, and have contracts that will result in doubling revenues yet again in 2010.
About the Position:
You will serve as a key technologist building various components of the web-based application that helps to promote the care and management of wounded service members. You will be automating paper-based systems as well as creating a case management system that allows for the tracking, auditing, and approvals. More importantly, you will help brainstorm solutions to client challenges. This will require you to have a passion for technology, coding, and development processes as well as the business savvy for meeting client objectives. You will be working on-site at the client’s facility (Quantico Marine Corps Base) on a stable, long-term project.
To meet our needs you must be experienced with:
1) At least 5 years professional experience developing Java applications in a production environment, including experience with Java 1.4
2) At least 5 year of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, or Sybase experience), including:
- Programming with PL-SQL to create stored procedures, triggers, user-defined functions, and SQL statements
- Data Modeling and optimization
3) At least 4 years experience with full life cycle development in a Software Engineering capacity, including:
- Designing and executing software project plans
- Consulting with clients to define needs or problems
- Analyzing findings to advise and recommend solutions to clients
- Active involvement in the design and implementation of software systems
- Ability to generate technical documentation
- Experience with Test-Driven Development a strong plus
- Experience with .NET also a plus
4) At least 3 years of experience with the following technologies:
- JSP
- HTML/DHTML, JavaScript.
5) Consultant oriented skills and responsibilities, including:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Experience working directly with customers.
Requirements:
- U.S. citizen
- Experience leading client meetings (needs to be able to gain the trust and confidence of the client)
- Full SDLC experience
- Government and/or large enterprise projects
- Exceptional coding and database skills
- Eligible for secret clearance or NACI/Public Trust
Salary:
$100k to $110k depending on experience
